This is the 2nd year in a row that Hit It Music Productions is proud to be the Official DJ/Entertainment Company for the 2008 Miss California USA and Miss California Teen USA Pageant. This years pageant was held @ the River Hotel in Palm Springs. I started the night off with down tempo type house music for dinner and that transitioned into mainly Top 40. Like the year before, it was mainly the girls dancing, so I played mostly Britney, Justin, & Timbaland type stuff. The favorite song of the evening was “Just Dance” by Lady Gaga.

Today I had the pleasure of being the Disc Jockey @ a fundraiser for an amazing little 11 year old boy named Matthew Contreras. Matt was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has NO medical insurance. A bunch of his neighbors decided to throw this block party to raise money for the mounting medical bills. There were all kinds of fun things to do & awesome food to eat! Special thanks to Ranch Catering for donating a good portion of the food. There were also a lot of raffle & silent auction prizes that were donated as well. I will try to get a list together of those sponsors so that they can be recognized. Also, a special thanks to Roger Hedgecock for the mention of Matt’s party on his radio show.
A special account has been set up at the SD County Credit Union for Matt. Pleae make checks payable to Matthew Contreras. Write *3200 in check memo field to identify the account number.
Mail your donation to MATT’S PARTY: 1442 Acheson St SD 92111

What a FUN night! Home Coming 2008 was held @ The Mission Valley Sheraton. We had the Big Boy Sound system out there with the “Pro Package” lighting package. I wasn’t sure if guest were going to come dressed in Halloween costumes since it was held on the day after Halloween so I brought a Disco Stu costume in the truck, but lucky for me it was formal dress so I didn’t have to wear it (haha).

This year we held our 9th annual Haunted House. My best friend Michael & I create this special event every year for the community to come & enjoy. Michael is a carpenter by trade so he is very crafty when it comes to creating some of our props & rooms. I am the technical director so I am in charge of all of the lighting, sound & electrical placement. We also get some help from our friends when it comes to haunting & passing out candy. The last couple of years we have gotten high tech using radio’s to communicate with the person letting all of the potential targets in (haha).
